DIY Rice Scrub Full Body Scrub to get rid of Tan & Pimples
Recently I shared a sugar scrub, after which I got messages asking for a scrub without sugar & coconut oil.
So here I’m with a DIY scrub that can be easily made without Sugar & Oil & all the ingredients are easily available in your home.
This scrub can be applied on all parts of your body – Face, neck, legs & hands, underarms, etc
It removes the dead skin from your body, it works as a de-tan scrub, helps you to get rid of pimples as well
All the ingredients used in this scrub have been proven to be extremely beneficial for skin & this scrub is suited for all skin types…
So Let’s get started
Ingredients that you need to make Rice Scrub at home
This scrub is best made by using browns rice but as many people won’t be having it at home so I’m taking White rice.
Rice works wonders to remove tan
If you have browns rice available at your home or if you want the best result try using brown rice BUT if you have sensitive skin please use white rice only
Because when you grind the rice the brown rice is always a little bit more coarse & intense to use on skin when compared to white rice.
Besan/Gram Flour-The second Ingredient is Gram flour also known as Besan or Khadale Hittu, If you don’t want to or if you don’t have gram flour then increase the quality of rice, Rather then I tbsp take 2 tbsp.
Gram flour helps to clean your skin, to remove tan
Honey–The benefit of honey for skin is a long list but here it is used to moisturize your skin, if you have dry skin then you must use honey, it is also a gentle exfoliator. It will help you get rid of Acne & pimples.
Wild Turmeric – One small piece of advice. If you are using turmeric for home remedies try using Wild Turmeric/ Kasturi Haldi/ Organic Haldi rather than Kitchen Haldi
Kitchen Haldi works too & there are no side effects but these work great
When preparing kitchen haldi their main focus is color & taste thus it lacks in its benefits.
I believe that Kasturi Haldi is the best for your skin, it is easily available in the local market & online…I will share the link where you can find it
What We do for Haldi is…
we never purchase Haldi powder from outside.
We get the turmeric roots, sundry them & then grind them to get the pure Haldi powder. My family has been doing this for ages now
It is completely pure & rich in quality…best for health
Raw Milk – Everyone knows that raw milk is great for skin, it cleanses & smoothens the skin, it removes tan & gives a clear glowing skin
But remember this use raw milk only for your hair & skin, don’t consume it. It might be harmful to you
Now let’s see how to prepare this scrub at home
How To Make Rice Scrub At Home
First, take white rice & run it into a blender to get a coarse powder, don’t make it into a fine powder
Now take a tsp of Ground rice in a bowl & add 1 tsp of gram flour to it, then add honey & pinch of Kasturi haldi & mix it well
Then add raw milk to it until it turns into a paste just like any other scrub
Now your DIY Rice scrub is ready,
How To Apply homemade rice scrub
Always wash your face before applying any scrub.
Once your face is dried apply the scrub on your face but makes sure to do a patch test before it, just to be sure that you aren’t allergic to any of the contents
Now gently massage your face in upper ward direction, hand moments should be very light so that this could gently scrub your skin at the same time it shouldn’t be harsh on your skin
After massaging for 2-3 minutes, let it be. Once it dries off gently wash it off with normal water
Don’t scrub it while removing….After this apply toner or moisturizer
I have some DIY toners which I’ll share with you very soon
You can also apply aloe vera gel after removing the scrub
Try it out & let me know
