Rajkumar Hirani & Shah Rukh Khan’s New Movie Dunki – Hit or a Flop?
So Yesterday I saw Dunki…And here is my review.
Let’s start from the beginning..shall we?
So, Right from the start when Dunki’s name was revealed & I got to know that it is the first Rajkumari Hirani & Shah Rukh Khan venture together…I was really excited but……….
I don’t know why I didn’t like the teaser or trailer of the dunki movie (don’t kill me just yet)
Honestly speaking…I think I didn’t even see the full trailer…it was some clips on Instagram and YouTube shorts…but I wasn’t impressed or even interested in watching the movie…
But back to the topic…yesterday my friends dragged me to watch Dunki and…I LOVE IT.
Man, I was so wrong….the movie is amazing…every second of it was worth watching…
The movie is hooking, the storyline is awesome & the most important thing is…it is not dragging.
The movie aims to show the suffering & pain of immigrants & the people who are struggling to get visas…and they have shown it beautifully & not made it dramatic or draggy.
They kept it real & something that would actually invoke emotions in you.
I have to give it to Rajkumar Hirani for actually picking a topic like this…This is a topic that people need to be made aware of…
That going abroad..is not all as glamorous as they make it to be…yes there is a good & bad for it but the struggle is real.
There is a perfect balance of reality, humor, emotions, heartbreak, pain, and hope in the movie, everything is blended beautifully.
I must say the casting, acting, dialogue, screenplay, MAKEUP, music everything is just perfect.
And a shoutout to Vicky Kaushal…
even though it was a cameo, man it was a lasting performance…his acting will stay with you even after the movie is over…
And I loved the ending…I’m struggling so hard not to give out spoilers.
I have to say if you haven’t watched Dunki yet…
just go ahead & do it today…You got a long weekend...this got to be on your to-do list…for sure.
PS: I had no idea what Dunki meant…thanks to my dad who explained it to me
PS 2: I know many people are doing polls like Salaar vs Dunki…which one would be the box office blockbuster…
My vote goes to Dunki <3
