Cold & Cough Home Remedies – Ayurvedic Kadha Recipe
Monsoon is here as much as soothing, romantic, feel good & refreshing monsoon season is…there is a drawback to it as well
And that is cold & cough. as soon as monsoon season starts chances of us getting under the weather is high
Those back to back sneezes, stuffed nose, running nose, cough, fever these are like unwanted guests, that make their appearance at least once during the Monsoon season.
And no to forget the Pandemic we are facing, even a small common cold is enough to freak us out. so what to do?
Today I’m sharing with you a simple Ayurvedic Kadha that will help you to Keep Cold, cough, sore throat far away from you
This is my Dad’s i.e Grandma’s Recipe. She is not with us any more but when she was here, in monsoon season every night we used to have it
We still do but I miss her
Anyway this is pretty simple Recipe & can be made in 5 minutes
Now let’s see what are the Ingredients that you’ll be needing to make this Kadha

Important Point:
try to use seeds & make powder at home, avoid using store bought coriander, cumin & black pepper powder. to get maximum benefits of this kadha but if you CAN’T get seeds only then use the store brought powders
Effect will vary but it will do

How To Make Kadha Powder At Home
Take 2 tbsp. of Coriander Seeds, 1 tbsp. of Cumin Seeds & 1 tsp of Black peppercorn & crush them into fine powder using Khalbatta, Mortar & Pestle, silbatta
You can store this powder for up to 3 months. use this whenever you are making kadha. Adjust the quantity according to this ratio only

How To Make Kadha At Home For Cold & Cough
Take a saucepan, add 1 glass of water, now add one spoon of this Kadha mix to it, then add 1/2 tsp of dry ginger powder & pinch of turmeric to this & let it boil
When the liquid starts to heat, add a small piece of Jaggery to it, you can also use Jaggery powder don’t use Sugar or Honey
Now stir the liquid so that the jaggery is disallowed. allow the liquid to come to a boil
When it starts to boil, turn off the flame & strain the liquid.
How To Have This Drink
Have this drink when it is still hot just like a hot tea
Having this once in a while during Rainy season is pretty much appreciated but mainly if you are having cold, cough or sore throat. This works wonders
This kadha gives instant relief from Sore Throats’ & Cold
just after 5 minutes you’ll feel so much better. Trust me my family has been following this for ages & we have first hand seen its affect

When You Should Have This Kadha
I usually have his at night like 1/2 an hr before going to bed, but if you’re having cold or cough. just have it. you don’t have to wait for night
Juts try not to have this on empty stomach, as this is really powerful drink, if you have this on empty stomach. It might cause acidity or something
