Indian Police Force Review – Is It Worth Watching
Well as most of you reading this article know The Indian Police Web series is live on to watch on Amazon Prime…
And if you are thinking of watching it or not…then do read this article.
But if you are a die-hard of any of the actors involved and are super excited to watch the series…better to skip this article…because this might ruin it.
Honestly, I love the police/crime/drama genre, I love the thrill but right from the trailer of the Indian Police Force…
Indian Police Force Trailer
I was kinda let down…it didn’t feel like what I was expecting and to be honest that is exactly what I felt after the series.
Don’t get me wrong…I really appreciate the actors Siddharth, Shilpa, Vivek…I have seen some of their best work and honestly, this isn’t close to it.
Let’s first see the good & then we move to the worst.
The Good Things about The Indian Police Force Web Series
Honestly – the good thing I guess is Bollywood trying something new…
I mean of course, we have amazing web series like The Family Man but still, I liked the fact that Rohit Shetty & Siddharth collaborated on a project like this.
[Spoiler Alert] – Sharad Kelkar
He had a small cameo but honestly, he was the only character that actually felt real…
it did have some flaws like forced punch lines but still, he was the only character I liked
Where Did The Indian Police Web Series Go Wrong
Going Overboard – IK it is Rohit Shetty’s movie So, I was hoping for an overdose of car chases, car blasting & full-packed action scenes…and I’m ok with it.
But some of the dialogues were cringe, especially the punch lines…they were PJs…like they were not at all FUNNY.
and the funny part…most of the serious situations, and dialogues actually make you laugh…
I guess the writers did mess up the dialogues…I mean it didn’t feel like in sink with the flow.
The banter/fake mocking between Vivek & Shilpa didn’t feel funny or even friendly…it kinda felt forced.
I know the actors involved in the web series are awesome, I have seen some of their best works but somehow it didn’t work in this series.
everything felt like extra…I especially didn’t find the point in concentrating so much on the villain love story…
yes, in the end, it was important kinda...but still not necessary.
Hit and Miss
all throughout the series they focus so much on Nafessa (hope I spell it right) the love interest of the villain Haider(Zaraar)…
but when the plot actually required to use it they missed it.
This is a spoiler so if you don’t read it then don’t
In the end when the villain (Haider) plans to go underground with Nafessa and she informs the exact plan of to police (Kabir)…
they could have used Nafessa as a mole.
They could have wired her, put a tracker on her, and used her to arrest Haider…
Haider being arrested in front of Nafessa and police tricking him could have been probably a good twist to the story…
But the makers we too focused on showing action & highlighting Kabir (sid) they ruined this.
Instead, they opted to send police by airship & then corner Haider..and let me tell you they were 3 people and still they were covering Haider from just 1 side & again they let Haider run away…
Of course…they had to show a car chase here.
I mean right here…was where I was left completely disappointed…
if they had made arresting the villain even a tiny bit impactful I would have liked the series…but nope…
and from the ending, it does seem like we will be getting a new season of Indian Police Force…and I’m ok with it…
If they put a little bit more effort into the story…because apart from everything else..the biggest letdown was the story.
Yes, the baseline was a tried & tested formula of Bollywood that has worked for many movies and I’m ok seeing it again.
But with a better story…
What’s Astounding
I started watching the series around 10 and I saw it until 4 am…I had to take some breaks and mind you I did skip through some of Haider & Nafesa Scenes…
After watching the series I went on Twitter to see if there are people who share my POV…
I mean if I’m the only one who was disappointed with the show or this was the audience verdict.
and I’m shocked to say…I didn’t see 1 tweet that said anything bad about the series.
People were praising the show & saying it was the best performance of the actors involved…and if it is true…
and I’m the only one who was expecting more then I’m sorry…If this review hurt anyone.
But I stand by my POV…I was let down and the thing I know the people involved are capable of producing way better content.
I don’t say this isn’t good…I mean you can watch it once but they can do way way better.
Let me know what You think
