Best Productivity Tools To Maximize Your Workflow
With all the distractions around, it is pretty hard to stay focused & be productive & that is why today I’m gonna share some tools & products that help me to be productive & get my work done
Best Products You Must Have To Increase Your Productivity
Whiteboard
This is an integral part of my work life. I have 2 whiteboards one in my home office & the other in my bedroom.
I use whiteboards to create content planners, to-do lists, mindmaps, etc.
It also works as a vision board. If you are in a creative field like content creators, bloggers, writers, SM Marketers, etc having a whiteboard around can literally maximize your work.
They are super cheap and really helpful so I do recommend you get yourself one.
If you don’t want a whiteboard per se, there are also whiteboard sheets that you can stick to the walls that work like whiteboards. you can get those as well.
Notion
This is an online workspace that helps you to organize & monitor your work.
Yet another tool that is super helpful. I use notion to create a task list – I plan the content for the whole week using the notion
And then I create a to-do list…notion has a feature where you can categorize your tasks like – pending, doing & done
It not only helps you to monitor your work & get things done, but every time you shift a task from pending, doing to done.
It sends your brain a signal that you accomplished a task & thus this motivates you & helps you do the next task with more enthusiasm
For example, I create a task in notion stating that – I need to create a blog post – best tools to increase productivity
Then I use a to-do list to create a list of tasks I need to do like
- Search Keywords for the blog post
- Create Content
- Create Graphics
- Get important links
- Publish
now every time I complete a task on my to-do list I get motivated to do the next task.
I also use notion to do my research – it has a feature where you can take notes, maintain a journal
If you are researching something – you can copy the important information that you need & you can save it for future reference, you can also add important links that you wanna go back to. I also use this to brainstorm content ideas.
It is free & one of the best tools that will help you to beat procrastination.
Also, you can synchronize it with all your devices – so whenever you get an idea whether you are traveling, running, or even in the shower.
You can use your phone, tablet, etc to save ideas

Timer
Now it can be a digital timer like clockify ( free chrome extension ) or a physical timer but using a timer is a must.
When we decide to do a task in a day – it means we have all day to complete it & thus we tend to postpone it.
Procrastination feeds on this, but when we use timers & when we set a time frame for a task, it becomes mandatory to complete the task in the given time & thus it helps you to beat procrastination.
According to the book Make Time – Every day we have to pick a highlight, an important task that should be completed that particular day.
This gives you clarity on what needs to be done but when you assign that task for a day then I’m sure you’ll find n number of ways to push that task at the end of the day, and you’ll most definitely end up procrastinating.
not only this piles up pending tasks but also gives you way too much of stress.
And one way to overcome this is…assign time to that task…
for example – I gave myself an hour to write up this article & publish it
So I do recommend you time your tasks so that your time doesn’t go to waste.
Don’t use your smartphone to time your tasks, because when you use smartphones you’ll most definitely end up wasting your time on social media (temptation is hard😜 )
Sticky Notes
Another one of my favorite products to increase productivity is sticky notes.
I use these sticky notes to write down important tasks, reminders even quotes & I stick them to my pc, walls, etc
I just want them to be in plain sight so that I remember tasks & stay motivated.
Computer Chair
Most people neglect this & end up with really bad consequences.
Probably the most underrated yet important tip for productivity is to invest in a nice computer chair.
Most households have plastic chairs & most of us often end up using them for work as well…
I did this when I just started out. I used the regular plastic chair & I usually work 15hrs a day & sitting on that chair with bad postures for so long affected my health pretty badly.
I got a really bad backache & that was time I realized how important a good chair is…
If you are someone whose work demands they sit in front of a pc/laptop all day. Do not hesitate to get yourself a comfy chair
Not only you’ll like it but your body badly needs it.
When your body is comfortable, it becomes really easy to just focus on the task at hand.
Write down stuff
This is another awesome hack, now you can use notion for this or a regular journal & that is to write
and maintain a journal where you can write down anything you want – it can be new content ideas, projects, thoughts, negative & positive anything that is occupying your brains needs to let out here.
when you write down stuff that has been on your mind, you sort of clean your brain.
When the thoughts are out, you take a great load off your brain & thus which helps your brain to concentrate where it is important.
So here are some of my favorite products & apps that I use to boost my productivity, let me know which one is your favorite
